Christmas is here!

Well December is here, meaning christmas music blaring, delicious baking, family time, laughter, parties, ugly sweaters, snow and decorating are all acceptable now!! Although i will admit to listening to christmas music clear back in September just to put myself in a happy place. :) The other night I found myself dancing around my kitchen with my baby (in my tummy), singing along to my favorite christmas songs, flinging pots and pans around making yummy taco's for when the husband came home and decided to make chocolate truffles. So naturally I hoped on pinterest looking to find the easiest/fastest chocolate truffle recipe. I looked and looked and said "Ah i found it, two ingredients, how much easier could it get?"

They looked delicious, as you can see, so I pulled out the ingredients. All it said you would need was cream cheese and chocolate. "HA" I did what the recipe said and tasted................ um... "This is disgusting." Ha so I added some sugar, powdered sugar, and vanilla.... In hopes to make it taste more like a dessert and not Blah. My Husband got home and tasted it and said it tasted delicious, so i proceeded. Let it sit in the fridge for an hour, pulled it out, rolled it into balls and then dipped it in white chocolate, letting it sit in the fridge for another hour.  Dinner was finally ready amongst all the chocolate happenings so we sat down and ate our yummy dinner and I went back to the fridge to get our cute truffles out to have for dessert. I grabbed one for me and one for the hubby and went down to the couch; sat down and handed my husband his. We both took one bite and with out a word we looked at each other with exactly the same expression on our faces, " What in the world?!" We busted up laughing as my husband proceeded to say, " It takes like I just ate a whole piece of cheesecake in one bite, its so rich!" As I'm laughing so hard trying to down some water he says, " Ya i'm gonna need some of that; my mouth is parched after that bite!" Hahaha We got a good laugh and I couldn't agree more with my husband they were AWEFUL. He very kindly finished his one truffle and i threw the rest of mine in an empty glass right next to me. I had over two dozen truffles.... and decided it would be best for me and everyone around me if i threw away the evidence. Haha

So onto our next adventure of the night, setting up and decorating our christmas tree! I was so excited I bought some eggnog for the occasion and turned up my christmas music. Our tree was really easy to set up (as fake as they come) and since we are newly weds we didn't have many decorations, but it turned out beautiful.

Of course the husband gets the honor of putting the star on top of the tree. I love our star, we got it in mexico on our honeymoon last year, and yes blake was able to get on the plane from mexico very easily with this metal star in his luggage..... Hello mexico we could have done major damage with this thing! But we didn't because we are normal human beings, anyways here is the star. :)

Isn't he the cutest thing you have ever seen?! We went camera crazy for a moment, these decorations are from our first christmas together; my mom gave them to us last year and I love them!

Our cups "half full" of eggnog ;) It was delicious... can't decorate your tree without it.

We had to get a picture of me and baby, my husband is so patient that he did exactly what I asked for to get the picture that i wanted, and he did a great job ;)

I want to make an ornament for our baby and his first christmas with mommy and daddy with this picture of me and him on it :) I love it. We had to have "B" for Baby and Bryson.

And of course it wouldn't be right to not kiss to seal the night! Dang I'm a lucky girl.

So after a fun, funny, and great night with my husband I decided I needed to give pinterest another try. Only this time it was with a craft. So me and my friends kaylee and debbie decided to do a craft night and make these really cute christmas wreaths that we found on pinterest. Here is a photo of the finished product!

Of course the B is mine! They turned out adorable and gave me a little more hope for pinterest. :) My wreath is now hanging on my front door and I love it! This month is going to go by so fast, we have so many christmas parties and things, christmas will be here before we know it! And I couldn't be more excited to spend christmas with the fam! Happy Holidays!! :)

With Love,

Our Little One

In May of 2011 late one night..... I took a pregnancy test to see if I could see 2 pink lines showing, one line was strong and the other line very faint. Of course my husband is beaming saying "You're Pregnant!" But me on the other hand i have to be 100% postitive before i'll jump for joy. So I said I'd take another test in the morning and then we would go from there. Ya, you probably thought I slept that night didn't you?! haha Early the next morning I took another pregnancy test and the 2nd line came out a little stronger......... AHHHH this could be for real! But once again, I couldn't jump for joy just yet, as my husband was jumping all the way out the door to work! (Not literally... but you get it!) I told him I would go into my doctor and the only way I could possibly believe it and know for sure is if they looked me in the eye with a 3rd test and told me I was absolutely pregnant. :) So i hurried, got dressed and went straight to the doctor's office. I got there and did what the nurses asked me to and then they did the pregnancy test, as i was anxiously waitied in a chair, with my heart beating like crazy. It seemed like forever, but really it was only like 3 minutes. The one nurse came out from around the corner with a smile on her face.... what did this mean?! "You're pregnant!" She said the results came up super fast when she did the test and it was 100% positive! I stood up practically shaking with excitement as i went up to the counter where the other nurse was and all I could say was, "Really? Really?" With a smile on her face she told me, "Yes really" as she held up this purple and white pregnancy test. At this very moment I decided it was about the right time to let my emotions that had been building up for so long go and actually believe what the professionals said; and boy was it a flood. The nurses were so cute as i stood there crying; they both gave me a hug and congratulated me. The one behind the counter looked at her calendar and told me my due date and i stood there with a blank stare in my teary eyes and said, "well now what do I do?!" This being my first time being pregnant, and being this emotional I literally had no idea what I needed to do next?! They both got a good laugh out of my naivety and told me to find an OB/GYN.... which I had no clue what they were talking about till I asked..... And yes, it is a pregnancy doctor. I must have been in shock and not thinking clearly to be this, naive. They sent me on my way and I grabbed my phone and called my husband first thing. I knew he was at work but I didn't care.... I called him blubbering through the speaker in the phone, "Baby! I'M PREGNANT!" I had to say it at least 10 times for it to actually sink in my brain, let alone his brain! He was just as excited as I was... and I'm pretty sure he was trying to hold his emotions back as well.... working in a big company with lots of men around. :) I then proceeded to call my mom, who was so excited for me, all my brothers and sisters in law and a few best friends; each time telling the story i started bawling (which is also something I wasn't quite used too, I blame it on the increasing hormones rushing through my body because of the pregnancy).  I was only 4 weeks along and wanted to keep it on the DL (Down low) till I was all through my first trimester. The loved ones I told were so excited for me and would send me cute texts and call me every now and again saying how happy and excited they were for me, but it was hard to keep it a secret from all the other people I was around all the time, but I did it!

I made my appointment with my  OB/GYN for week 12 and went in. We got to hear the heart beat, which was the most beautiful thing I had ever heard. A new life was beginning, and I was lucky enough to be the one to bring it into this world. The ultra sound was amazing. It all seemed so real when i saw this on the screen.

A beautiful baby! Tears filled my eyes, along with my parents, blake's parents, and my hubby right by my side. It was so precious. I loved being able to see it's tiny legs and arms. Amazing. I made my next visit for 16 weeks just so i could find out 4 weeks early what my babies gender was, I was so excited!

I failed to mention that at this stage in pregnancy I was very, very sick. Between week 6-14 I had the nausea constantly, the headaches/migranes, fatigue, and I literally could do nothing. I think as much as possible I layed still on the couch of our apartment, unable to move, unable to think for about 8 weeks. I didn't want to eat anything, I never could decide what to eat, and I had to force myself to eat at every meal. It was rough, but I tried to keep it in as much as possible until i was done with the first trimester. My poor husband, bless his heart, still loved me after all the hormones and sickness I dealt with, and he had to deal with for so long. I didn't really have any crazy cravings throughout the first part of my pregnancy but I did eat cereal, a lot, something I never really ate much of at all. As far as food aversions I couldn't eat chicken, ice cream, chocolate or cafe rio, it was odd but nothing too crazy. As week 16 rolled around we were beaming with excitement to find out what gender our precious baby was. I'm not going to lie, I was nervous as any new mother would be, I don't even know why because it's my baby and I was going to love it if it was a girl, or boy! But still my heart was beating faster than my babies, I'm sure. With my husband holding my hand and me laying on the table getting my ulrasound we saw this picture first.

Our baby had grown so much!!! And then she went straight to where you find out the gender and the room fell silent. "It has a boy part!" "OOOOOH! Little squeals of happiness burst from everyone in the room and me being totally hormonal started tearing up! Our little boy was so precious and perfect. His arms and legs already looked so long!

And I couldn't get over how cute his feet were! I didn't have a DVD with me at this ultrasound, because I didn't know if you brought one they could record it, so I was sad. During this ultrasound we saw our little baby do the cutest wiggles ever! It all becomes so much more real when you see them moving around like they own the place. :)

My baby bump was starting to show a little, even though no one believed me that it really was, being pregnant you always feel like you are bigger than people say you are. Just comes with the fact that you are housing another human being in your tummy and all. My next doctor visit was at 20 weeks! The reason for my excitement was because this is the long ultrasound. They have to measure everything from the head down to the legs, which meant I got to see my little guy for a long time! And this time I was bringing my DVD!
Here he is, in all his glory and perfection! I was so anxious during the ultrasound everytime she would get to a new body part I would say how does that look, is that normal? As any new mother does I'm sure. She finally had to say, " If something is different I'll let you know." Haha He was perfectly healthy and right on track. He measured almost 12 inches and weighed almost a pound! The coolest part was watching his heart beat. You could see all 4 chambers of his heart pulsating at the same time. It truly is a miracle. Hear is a short take from our ultrasound, I love it so much!

I took our video home and watched it over and over and over again, everytime it would finish I would give in and start it over just so I could see my little baby again.

He has the cutest little nose and lips I have ever seen and he was getting so big! And I was starting to show a little more!

After this ultrasound the nurse said this would be the last ultrasound I needed unless the doctor said otherwise... I'll admit I was a little sad because I loved actually seeing my baby but I knew now that in the weeks to come I would start to be able to feel him moving! A few weeks later Blake and I decided to go to the temple to do a session and the most amazing thing happened when we were inside the temple. All was quiet around me and I gently put my hands on my tummy where I knew my baby was resting, closed my eyes and just thought about my baby, about the fact that i get to spend the rest of forever with him and my husband and how lucky I am that he chose me to be his mommy. Then I felt it, a very small but very real tiny baby kick on my right hand and then a tear slid down my cheek. How truly lucky I am to know that I get to be with my little one and family forever. It was the most precious moment and I looked over at my husband with a smile on my face and later told him what I had just experienced. In the weeks to come my baby started being a little more active day by day and finally blake was able to put his hand on my tummy and feel him himself. The coolest part was when we could just look at my tummy and see him squirming and kicking! So amazing :) This is me at week 25! He is definitely starting to show now and I love it!

I'm starting to take weekly pictures of my baby bump because from here on out it will get more exciting cause there is actually something to look at! My second trimester has been amazing! I have energy, and like i tell everyone, "I feel like a human again!" Which is by far the greatest feeling ever! In the second trimester you have a bigger bump, your baby is moving around (and mine is super active which i love) and you have energy! I can cook and clean and workout and still feel amazing :)  For Halloween we all dressed up at the Spa where I work and I'm not much of a dresser-upper but I decided to go look at the Halloween store and found a cute M&M costume and pondered on it for a minute and decided that baby and me were going to be a Peanut M&M!!
Baby was a hit with the ladies and it was fun to include him in the holiday! :) This halloween blake and I were so excited because we have a house and lots of little kids in the neighborhood! I bought 5 bags of candy and by the end of the night it was all gone! I was shocked but we had so much fun! Here is week 26!

Getting more and more anxious! And this week marks my 27th week, only 3 more days till I begin my third and final trimester!
Time has seriously flown by and I know these next 3 months with go by fast! He is almost here and I can't wait to finally be able to hold him. :) Blake is so excited we are having a boy we just had to get some jordans for our baby to be decked out in, as well as a mini tux!

Our baby is going to be a mini baller for sure :) Blake's mom, Virginia got him the cutest jeans like 3 months ago! Baby True religions!
We are already starting to get cute little baby boy things and i'm loving it so much!  We are looking at cribs and hoping to get one soon! I'm starting to decorate his room a little here and there but want to get all the furniture in asap! :) I know I still have 3 months but mama is too excited! We are so blessed and couldn't be happier! In fact the reason I got up early this morning to write this post was because my darling little one started kicking and stretching  at 7 am, and i wasn't even mad. :) It's so crazy how much he has grown i could feel him all the way from the right side of my torso to the left side this morning! Stretchin right out and he is gonna be long and tall just like his daddy! :)

Meet the Bryson's

I never believed in finding "the one" due to a blind date..... but who could deny those deep blue eyes and  a 6'5" teddy bear?! On our first date we made some amazing cheesecake and he took me to get sushi, honestly who wouldn't fall in love with him?! We met in February 2010 and the rest of our dating life is all a blur.... seeing each other every single day can make for losing track of time, days, weeks, etc.
Needless to say we were locked in from day 1.

On the night of my graduation from  Utah College of Massage Therapy, August 5, 2010,  at 11:11pm I was asked to spend the rest of my life with my love and best friend. Needless to say I said yes.  We set our wedding date for November 19, 2010.  I never knew how indecisive, yet picky I was until i tried to plan my own wedding. What i learned from planning our wedding was that you can't make everything perfect, after that lesson was learned it was a joy to plan and prepare.

We got married and sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple, on a gorgeous November day, surrounded by our loved ones. It was the most amazing day of our lives and we were beaming with love and happiness from ear to ear. We had our family luncheon at the Joseph Smith
Memorial Building and later that evening had our reception at The Manor at the Riverwoods.

It was a beautiful reception full of laughter and dancing. We then headed off for our honeymoon, after our "almost" perfect wedding day. :)

A cabin up at sundance, almost a week in Puerta Vallarta Mexico, the Bellagio in Vegas ( seeing the "O" show) and last but not least a few more days at Entrada, made for an Amazing honeymoon.

We First lived at blake's (vacant) grandparents house, where we spent our first christmas together, as newlyweds.

We lived there for about 5 months until they returned from Arizona and in the process of looking for an apartment we lived a couple months in the Bryson's basement. :) We found an apartment that we liked at Lookout Pointe Apartments in Provo, it was a little smaller than we would have liked but it worked for a few more months. During this whole process we had been looking for a house and after months and months of looking we found "the one". It is a foreclosure that we are going to flip in a few years so we did a few fix ups for the house, got new carpet and paint and finally moved into it about 2 months ago.
It was built in 1998, is about 3,000sq ft 4 bedroom 2 bath, gorgeous kitchen, living room, family room, and has all the set up for a theatre downstairs, we absolutely love it. It is in American Fork, right next to a cute stream with lots of tree's, I can hear the wind blowing through the trees as i sit in our new little office writing my first blog post, I love our house. This picture is just the one I pulled off the site we found our house on, so it doesn't really do it justice; but I will soon post pictures of the whole house, inside and out so you can get a better look :)

Stability is good; finding stability can be stressful but we pulled through and couldn't be happier.

Through all the craziness and joy of our first year of marriage, we finally found perfection in a very small package all bundled up in my tummy; our beautiful baby boy in the making. My next post will give full detail of our wonderful child that has already changed our lives for the better, our little miracle.
